BLOOD GROUPS
The different blood groups are determined because there are different red blood cells depending on membrana antigens.
Each person, in the blood, has two differents types of antibodies:
- Membrana antibodies which determine which blood groups you are.
- Free antibodies which move around the blood and attack any red blood cells that are incompatible with the own ones.
There are four different blood: A, B, AB, and 0
For this reason we can't receive blood from any type. The compatibility between a donor and a receptor is shown in the following picture
