BLOOD GROUPS

The different blood groups are determined because there are different red blood cells depending on membrana antigens.

Each person, in the blood, has two differents types of antibodies:

  1. Membrana antibodies which determine which blood groups you are.
  2. Free antibodies which move around the blood and attack any red blood cells that are incompatible with the own ones.

There are four different blood: A, B, AB, and 0

For this reason we can't receive blood from any type. The compatibility between a donor and a receptor is shown in the following picture
